By using AkidOTP you agree to these terms. Please read them before using the service.
AkidOTP is a phone number and email verification service available at akidotp.com. It provides an API and associated tools that developers and businesses can use to verify their users' contact details.
The service is actively being developed. Its features, availability, and any associated pricing may change at any time. We will aim to give reasonable notice of significant changes where we practically can, but this is not always guaranteed.
By accessing or using AkidOTP — including the website, API, developer dashboard, or the verification demo — you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.
If you are using the service on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you confirm that you have the authority to accept these terms on that entity's behalf.
If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use the service.
You must be at least 18 years of age to use this service. By using AkidOTP you confirm that you meet this requirement.
You must not use the service if doing so would be prohibited by the laws or regulations of your country or region.
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials and API keys secure and confidential. Do not share them with others or expose them in publicly accessible code or repositories.
You are responsible for all activity that takes place under your account. If you believe your account or credentials have been compromised, log in immediately, update your credentials, and submit a support ticket from your dashboard.
You must provide accurate information when registering. We may suspend accounts where we have reasonable grounds to believe that the information provided is false or misleading.
You may use AkidOTP only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms. You must not use the service to:
We reserve the right to take action — including suspending or terminating access — where we reasonably consider use to be harmful, abusive, or unlawful.
AkidOTP is provided on an "as available" basis. We do not warrant that the service will be continuously available, free from errors, or suitable for any particular purpose.
The service is still in development. Features may be added, changed, restricted, suspended, or removed at any time. We are not liable for any loss arising from changes to the service or periods of unavailability.
All intellectual property rights in AkidOTP — including its software, API, website, and branding — belong to us or our licensors. Nothing in these terms transfers any of those rights to you.
Subject to these terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the service for your own lawful purposes. We may withdraw this licence if you breach these terms.
You retain ownership of data you submit through the API. By submitting it, you grant us a limited licence to process it for the sole purpose of providing the service to you.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, AkidOTP and those operating it shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, incidental, or special loss or damage arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the service.
This includes — without limitation — losses arising from: third-party platform failures, your failure to implement or use the API correctly, unauthorised access to your account resulting from your own actions, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation would be unlawful under the laws of England and Wales — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
AkidOTP provides verification infrastructure only. We are not responsible for how you use verified data within your own product or service.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the service at any time if we reasonably believe you have breached these terms, engaged in harmful or fraudulent activity, created a legal or security risk to the service, or for any other reason we consider to be justified in the circumstances.
You may stop using the service at any time. To request deletion of your account, log in to your dashboard and submit a support ticket.
On termination, any personal data associated with your account will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Upon termination or cancellation of a paid subscription, you will retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period. After that date, your account will revert to the Free plan. Any unused credit or prepaid amounts are not refundable unless covered by our refund policy in Section 13.
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the date shown at the top of this page. Where changes are significant, we will make reasonable efforts to notify registered users.
Your continued use of the service after any change takes effect will be treated as your acceptance of the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of the service will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.
To ask a question or raise any issue relating to these terms, log in to your account and submit a support ticket from your dashboard. We respond to enquiries from registered and verified users only. 13.1 — Plans and Pricing
AkidOTP offers Free, Starter, Growth, and Enterprise subscription plans. Plan features, pricing, and usage limits are displayed on our website and within the developer dashboard. We reserve the right to change plan pricing and features at any time. Existing subscribers will be notified of pricing changes before they take effect on their next billing cycle.
13.2 — Subscription and Automatic Renewal
Paid subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, depending on your plan). By subscribing, you authorise us to charge your chosen payment method automatically at the start of each billing cycle. Your subscription will renew automatically unless you cancel before the end of the current billing period.
13.3 — Payment Methods
We accept payment by credit/debit card via our payment processor (Stripe) and by cryptocurrency (USDT TRC-20, USDT ERC-20, Bitcoin, and Cardano ADA) where available. All card payments are processed securely through Stripe — AkidOTP does not store your card details. Cryptocurrency payments are processed via direct blockchain transfers to our designated wallet addresses. Payment confirmations and receipts are sent from noreply@akidotp.com — we are the sole sender of payment communications; no third party sends receipts on our behalf.
13.4 — Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your developer dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain full access to your paid plan features until your current period expires. After expiry, your account will be downgraded to the Free plan automatically. No action is required from you beyond clicking cancel — there are no cancellation fees.
13.5 — Refunds
We do not issue refunds for partial billing periods. If you cancel mid-cycle, you continue to have access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
Refund requests made within 14 days of your first payment on a new plan may be considered on a case-by-case basis at our sole discretion. To request a refund, submit a support ticket from your dashboard. Refunds, if approved, will be returned to the original payment method.
Refunds are not available for: renewals beyond the first billing cycle, usage that has already consumed a significant portion of the plan limits, accounts suspended or terminated due to Terms of Service violations, or cryptocurrency payments (see Section 13.11 — cryptocurrency payments are non-refundable due to the irreversible nature of blockchain transactions).
13.6 — Upgrade Credit (Proration)
If you upgrade your plan mid-billing cycle, you will receive a credit for the unused portion of your current plan. This credit is calculated as follows: the amount you paid for your current plan, multiplied by the number of remaining days divided by the total days in your billing cycle. This credit is applied as a discount to your first payment on the new plan. From the next billing cycle onward, you will be charged the full price of your new plan. The exact credit calculation is shown in your upgrade confirmation and on your payment receipt.
13.7 — Enterprise and Custom Pricing
Enterprise plans are priced individually based on your requirements. Custom pricing offers are made by our team and are valid for the period specified in the offer. If no expiry is stated, the offer remains valid for 30 days. Custom pricing terms, once accepted and paid, are binding for the agreed duration. Renewal pricing for Enterprise plans may be subject to review.
13.8 — Failed Payments and Suspension
If a recurring payment fails, we will attempt to notify you by email. Your plan status will be marked as expired, and access to paid features may be restricted until payment is resolved. If payment is not resolved within a reasonable period, your account may be downgraded to the Free plan. We reserve the right to suspend accounts with persistent payment failures.
13.9 — Currency and Taxes
Prices are displayed in US Dollars (USD) unless otherwise stated. Currency conversion for card payments is handled by your payment provider and may include conversion fees outside our control. You are responsible for any applicable taxes, duties, or charges imposed by your local jurisdiction. AkidOTP does not currently collect VAT or sales tax, but this may change as required by law.
13.10 — Receipts and Invoices
A payment receipt is sent to your registered email address after every successful payment. Receipts are issued by AkidOTP from noreply@akidotp.com and include: a unique receipt number, payment date, plan name, amount paid, billing period, payment method, subscription start and end dates, and our cancellation policy summary. These receipts serve as your proof of payment. If you require a formal invoice for accounting purposes, contact us via a support ticket.
13.11 — Cryptocurrency Payment Terms
When paying by cryptocurrency, you must send the exact amount displayed at the time of payment. Each payment is assigned a unique amount (to the fourth decimal for USDT, sixth decimal for ADA, or eighth decimal for BTC) to enable automatic detection on the blockchain. Sending any amount other than the exact figure shown — even by a fraction — will result in the payment not being detected by our system.
Cryptocurrency payments must be completed within the 30-minute window displayed on the payment screen. After this window expires, the payment request is cancelled and a new one must be created. If a transaction is sent after the window has expired, it may not be automatically detected.
All cryptocurrency payments are final and non-refundable. Due to the irreversible nature of blockchain transactions, we cannot process refunds, chargebacks, or reversals for any cryptocurrency payment. By choosing to pay with cryptocurrency, you acknowledge and accept this condition.
If you send the wrong amount, send to the wrong address, send after the payment window has expired, or send on the wrong blockchain network (e.g. sending ERC-20 tokens to a TRC-20 address), AkidOTP cannot recover or refund the transaction. It is your sole responsibility to verify the amount, address, and network before sending.
Cryptocurrency prices are displayed in US Dollars (USD). For USDT payments, the amount is 1:1 with USD. For Bitcoin and Cardano ADA payments, the amount is calculated using the market exchange rate at the time the payment is created. Exchange rate fluctuations after payment creation are your responsibility.
Supported cryptocurrencies: USDT on Tron (TRC-20), USDT on Ethereum (ERC-20), Bitcoin (BTC), and Cardano (ADA). We reserve the right to add or remove supported cryptocurrencies at any time.
